If you are looking for a pizza place to try, I’d highly recommend Guido’s at Dequindre and 25 mile road. We ordered a pizza from them to try something new and their was a mixup on the order. What happened next was a master class in customer serivce. I manage a customer support organization in an enterprise manufacturing software company. When working on employee development, we focus on creating great experiences for the customer from people working on the shop floor to executives in multi-billion dollar corporations. We talk about creating moments that are memorable and live on with our customers. I won’t get into specifics on their generosity but I’ve never encountered anything like it. But beyond that, the person who took my order and the person who prepared the pizza came out to introduce themselves and personally apologize for the mixup. They even called before I arrived to start resolving the issue I didn’t know existed. For what it’s worth, the mixup was minor and they were fixing it before I arrived. I was never bothered for a moment, so all of their efforts were genuine and not a reaction to a squeaky wheel. Of course, beyond the exceptional customer service, their pizza was fantastic. Jenna, in particular, earned Guido’s a customer who will be frequently ordering in the future. If you haven’t had their pizza, you are in for a treat.
